Recorder of Deeds & Register of Wills
RECORDER OF DEEDS:
The functions of the Recorder of Deeds include recording and indexing documents pertaining to real estate (deeds, mortgages, satisfactions, etc) and acting as a collection agent for the PA Department of Revenue.
REGISTER OF WILLS: knowledge of surrogate's court procedure would be needed
The functions of the Register of Wills include collecting inheritance tax, probate estates and is a judicial office.
